A moving and tender depiction of the novelist Iris Murdoch’s descent into Alzheimer’s Disease, covering the period from just before her marriage to intellectual John Bayley until her death. The film is based on the two books by John Bayley (Iris, Iris & The Friends).

A troubled loner, Bob Maconel, imagines blowing up the tower in Los Angeles where he works. He takes a revolver to his office intent on killing colleagues, and then himself. At home, he holds conversations with his fish, who encourage him to do it. His supervisor picks on him. As he’s screwing his courage to the sticking place, he drops a bullet; while on the floor looking for it, another colleague does exactly what Bob has been planning. She is essential for an upcoming plan to revive a thousand year old Chinese sorcerer and bring him back to the world as a mortal again. So begins a daring adventure to rescue Wang’s girl and stop the ruthless operation that’s going on down in Little China. Teaming up with a cast of very different individuals, Jack and Wang delve deep into an uncovering conspiracy in which everything’s not exactly as it seems. Here comes big trouble…
